Senior/Network Engineer – Work from Home anywhere in Australia
Our Network Engineers are responsible for delivery and management of network solutions to customers.
In this role you will:
- Present network solutions to customers;
- Scope network projects and participate in their implementation, individually or as part of a team;
- Configure, manage and troubleshoot network infrastructure, including routers, switches, firewalls, wireless infrastructure, load balancers, WAN accelerators, VPN concentrators, etc from a range of vendors that include Cisco, Meraki, HP, Aruba, Citrix, Palo Alto Networks, Fortinet, D-Link, Microsoft and VMware;
- Review networks for upgrades and improvements;
- Provide presales technical support to Area9 sales and customers;
- Liaise with vendors, customers and Area9 management;
- Be proactive to prevent faults/issues in network environments;
- Be responsive to customer faults/issues in network environments.
Skills & Experience
- Minimum 3-5 years experience in IT network environment support, proven hands on experience implementing, administering and troubleshooting network infrastructure, including: routers, switches, firewalls, wireless access points, controllers, WAN optimizers and monitoring applications;
- 2+ years experience in designing network solutions including implementation for customers; including implementation and/or remediation projects, in network environments that range from simple single sites to complex multi-sites;
- Excellent knowledge and experience in routing, switching and network security in WAN and LAN environments;
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in the *English language, including timely production of clear and concise documentation (written and diagrammatic) of network infrastructure, proposals, changes, reviews etc, and timely & accurate completion of timesheets;
- The ability to understand and translate a customer's business needs into an appropriate network solution;
- Proven experience in customer service.

Desktop Support Engineers - Darwin & Brisbane
In this role, you will provide first and second level technical support via telephone and online support tools and provide onsite/desk side support to our valued clients.
Skills & Experience
- Minimum 2-3 years of IT desktop support experience in Windows Desktop environments.
- Some Server support experience (Windows 2012-2019).
- A solid understanding of computer, network and internet technologies.
- Incident management at first and second level with troubleshooting capability.
- Previous experience in a helpdesk or call centre environment working with telephony and job logging software.
- Demonstrated experience in Customer service.

Level 3 Engineers - Darwin & Brisbane
Skills & Experience
- Minimum 4-5 years experience in server, desktop and network hardware.
- Providing technical leadership/support to staff in the delivery of projects, Providing (or contributing to the provision of) technical architecture of large-scale systems.
- Providing consulting services clients in the context of the supported architectures and third party solutions.
- Ensuring designs meet both function and non-functional requirements.
- Proposing and/or conducting research into new tools and technologies.
- Physically attending client sites and installing hardware.
- Monitoring and interpreting daily logs and creating incident tasks where action is required.
